Rex is a BIG boy. He's an American Bully rescue, transferred from a local shelter and originally found running at large. He's a smooshy wiggly squishy guy who is very people oriented. A total love bug and he's good with other dogs. He's a young dog that's had a bit of a rough start so he is learning some manners in foster care. He was clearly owned by someone who wanted a status symbol instead of a pet dog and didn't teach him anything. He is a young spud who is going to blossom into a sweet snuggly couch potato. His physique is not one that can tolerate much more than moderate physical exercise but keeping up with a daily walk will be important to maintain his health and healthy weight. Right now he's chubby at 75 lbs (and he's only about knee high) and needs loose a few and tone up. He suffers from the heat with his short round face and needs to be inside on hot days with limited activity. He loves water, loves getting a bath, soaking in a tub on a warm day - or if you aren't careful, plopping himself down in a muddy ditch while you are out on a walk. He'll wallow in anything sloppy and wet.
While he won't jump a fence, he's strong enough to push under a weak fence if given plenty of opportunity. He needs to be a house dog for both physical and emotional reasons. He's a sweet dog that needs to close to his owner. He's a young dog, probably 12-18 months with his pearly white sparkling teeth.
He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for heartworms. He is crate trained, housebroken and will have basic manners before he's placed into a new home.
He's a head turner and an attention getter where ever he goes. He can't take a walk without being stopped to ask about him. People can't help but stop and give him a second look. NO CATS!
