Success
Thank you so much for the outpouring of support. Bri had her surgery today and at 5:00 she was just waking up from anesthesia. The vet said that all went well.

convicted felons in the NFL
Are we that addicted to our sports? Are we that low on talent that we have to hire convicted felons to entertain us for millions. Millions they use to shirk any responsibility for their actions? Please write

Bri
Here's Bri in her foster home with Tugboat (the chunky monkey). We removed her pressure bandage because we were afraid it was making her leg swell. She seemed uncomfortable and seems more comfortable now that it is off. We are trying to limit her activity. She's become so used to using three legs instead of four we might have to try swim therapy once her leg is fixed to get her used to using it again. Two days until surgery date. Thursday morning 7/24, think good thoughts!

Bri's surgery date
We've scheduled Bri's surgery for 7/23 & are just crossing our paws that we will have the money raised. We just can't wait any longer. She was at the shelter 10 days & saturday we will have had her for 7 and another 7 up to the surgery date. That's almost four weeks that she's had a broken leg. We just can't wait any longer since bones take 6-8 weeks to heal we don't want it to heal wrong.

Bri 7/15
Still waiting on the estimate. Brianna has kennel cough though and won't be able to have surgery until that is cleared up. She won't be able to be spayed at the same time of surgery because it is expected for her to be under getting the screws for about 3-4 hours with that alone. To add on a spay (even though it seems like it would have been logical) would add too much stress on her little body and add too much time to her already being under anesthesia. She will have to wait until her leg is healed before we spay her. Don't worry, she will be spayed before going to any new home.
She's on antibiotics and cough meds for her KC and we hope that it clears within the next 10 days. We are also removing the pressure cast since it goes all the way down to her toes. With it on, we can't tell if her leg begins to swell. We will be leaving it off and just monitoring her activity level.

Sad day
Very sad to announce the passing of Faith. She passed away in February of this year from cancer. What a magnificent dog, she was truly one of those once in a lifetime dogs. We rescued her from a horrible country life where she was allowed to have litter after litter until her belly almost sagged to the ground with severe heartworm disease. She was rescued with her last litter of puppies all over run with fleas and worms. We refused to take her puppies until her owner relinquished her too. She was never broken by life and remained just a shining example of bully spirit. She was the most loving and patient dog, you could ever meet. She adored children and was the most patient canine angel. She changed the minds of everyone she met. She was build like a tank and had a heart of gold. Rest in Peace Faith, we are so glad we were able to give you three wonderful years with a family. Dogs have to go to heaven, none deserve it more than you.
Brianna's leg
Our sweet little girl has a condylar fracture in her right elbow. It is a break that can't be set and casted, it needs surgery.

No need to pay $1000 for any mixed breed designer dog, this one's available now fully vetted at a fraction of the fee. And many more available at your local shelter. She's not a "doodle" she's just ADORable, Pitadorable!

Brianna needs a home
Brianna - 3-4 months old
vaccinated/spayed/microchipped
Pit bull mix (possibly with lab). Brianna is a really stinking cute pit bull mix puppy that was pulled from a local animal shelter. She was an owner surrender, no other info except that they didn't want her. She has an injury to her right front elbow that we are getting checked out. We are hoping it's nothing and will heal with full function. It could be a partially healed break and we hope she will be able to keep that leg. She will be a medium sized dog, white with blue brindle patches, blue nose and the sweetest grey eyes. She has the prettiest white eyelashes along with her mascara like pigment around her eyes. Not black but blueish like her nose so it looks like she's got on eyeliner. She is very sweet and snuggly and wanted all the lovin she could get even though her leg hurts her. Her tail is thicker than a pit bull tail and her coat a little thicker and softer in general, not quite a lab coat but not a pit bull coat either.
She is in foster care learning her basic skills and will come crate trained and partially if not fully housebroken.

The Fourth Of July
Please take care of your dogs this Fourth of July. This is the time of year when shelters see a higher influx of dogs after this holiday. Please consider that fireworks can be frightening for dogs and do not leave them unattended in backyards. They will jump fences and flee when afraid.
Please keep your pets safe this season.
